The school day begins as kindergarteners arrive, hang up their backpacks, and meet on the rug to prepare for reading groups. Students are tested and placed in reading groups to meet their individual learning needs. Students practice reading and writing through fun activities and lessons.

Next, students transition back to their homeroom class for morning circle. They talk about the day’s plan, the weather, the calendar, and math. After learning time, they enjoy a snack and recess outside with their friends.

Later, the class engages in play-based activities to develop their social and emotional skills. After, it is either STEM, art, music, library, or PE for specials. At the end of the day, students share what they learned, pack their bags, and head home excited for tomorrow.
